We greet all of you and Abu Hadi recalling Karbala, the spirit of the historical martyrdom of Imam Hussein , of Ali and its new historical version in Gaza , in Lebanon , in the Arab world , in Afghanistan , Somalia amid other regions . Words are inadequate, however I have it from an impeccable strategic source who earlier analysed the military victory of 2006 , that the invasion of Gaza is doomed in the face of the New Karbala writing a different history . I had anticipated the demoralization linked to the decay of the global financial empire adversely impacting Zionism , which is racism and has historically and in the contemporary period sought colonization and occupation of the Arab world in alliance and conspiracy and collusion with interlinked financial centres . However it is the new Kerbala which has made the difference along with the continued resistance of the people of Iraq , vigilant, waiting in the wings for new developments contributing in no small measure to the US abstention ,which is a vital development .If it were not for my ill health ,I would have been in Beirut with all of you .I did not want to be there ,unless I was capable of a contribution to the utmost of my capacity . I was glad that Cynthia was there braving all odds . There has been universal support for Palestine and to that extent the moral defeat of Israel is complete , just as absolutely as the US and UK moral defeat in Iraq .The support of democratic sections of Jewish opinion throughout the world ,including the Jewish citizens of Iran was heartwarming. I read that there was a rally of 10,000 even in Tel Aviv.
The UNSC Resolution 1860 passed with US abstention is historic due to the voting pattern . Apart from the voting for an immediate and durable ceasefire in the Gaza strip leading to full withdrawal of Israeli forces , the Resolution calls for ' UNIMPEDED PROVISION AND DISTRIBUTION OF AID IN THE COASTAL ENCLAVE AND REOPENING OF ALL BORDER CROSSINGS IN THE REGION ....' Every single country in the neighbourhood of Gaza is under a legal obligation to implement this Resolution .
Even usurpers in the region have had to bow to the new spirit of Karbala as represented by the people of Palestine in Gaza .
The Admiral salutes the Resistance of Palestine and Lebanon and joins me in sending greetings for the new epic of Karbala and for 2009 .
A warm embrace . Hoping that the people of Lebanon and citizens of the Arab world will not forget their immediate neighbours , the people of Palestine in their hour of need even if the Arab governments do .Thank you for the updates and the excellent articulation of the contemporary situation in the region , emphasising the need for unity of people .It revived us .
