Podcasting – How To Make Money With Podcasts

According to the Diffusion Group, a research organization Consumer Marketing, the audience for podcasts is expected that more than 50 million listeners by 2010. They assume that three-quarters of people who own digital music players will listen to podcasts. Apple seems to agree - they recently began adding podcast programs to its iTunes online store.


So, as you cash in on this trend podcasting? More specifically, where does the money come from? There are three ways to money with podcasting, and each has its own advantages and disadvantages.

* Sponsorship. Just as in the traditional radio business, ask for a sponsor for each podcast. The sponsor pays a fee, for which you into your Podcast - for example, "With the kind assistance of Proctor & Gamble, suppliers, the personal-care products." It is the advertising for them, but it requires your podcasts have enough value to readers and to make worthwhile. A variation of the sponsorship method is that your podcast with PPC third-party ads with something like Google Ad Sense program.
* Pay per cast. The easiest way to make money with podcasts is a nominal fee for each occupation - say fifty cents - or, alternatively, a subscription to your podcasting. This is a form of publishing and if it is enough "protein" in your podcasts, the people want to pay.
* Donations. Depending on your podcast content, donations can be an effective means to increase the performance ratio. Generally speaking, religion, politics, charity-oriented, or grass-roots social content of the cause are likely to attract donations.

Whatever method you choose, the rapid growth of podcasting is also imperative to ignore!
