Podcasting – How To Make Money With Podcasts

According to the Diffusion Group, a research organization Consumer Marketing, the audience for podcasts is expected that more than 50 million listeners by 2010. They assume that three-quarters of people who own digital music players will listen to podcasts. Apple seems to agree - they recently began adding podcast programs to its iTunes online store.

So, as you cash in on this trend podcasting? More specifically, where does the money come from? There are three ways to money with podcasting, and each has its own advantages and disadvantages.

* Sponsorship. Just as in the traditional radio business, ask for a sponsor for each podcast. The sponsor pays a fee, for which you into your Podcast - for example, "With the kind assistance of Proctor & Gamble, suppliers, the personal-care products." It is the advertising for them, but it requires your podcasts have enough value to readers and to make worthwhile.
